Sri Dharani International School (SDIS), Gingee has been affiliated to secondary level from April 2017 onwards and students of our school appear for AISSE(All India Secondary School Examination) every year conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).17 students had appeared for the class X board exam from our school and all of them have got the distinction and have come out with flying colours and the school has registered 100 percent pass percentage in the 2018 CBSE class X board exams.
The students learn languages(English and Tamil), Mathematics, Science and Social Science and are also taught co-scholastic activities like work education, art and craft, physical games, yoga, carrom, chess,silambam, kungfu etc and apart from this students also participate in team sports and events. The students also are taught about the importance of being fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and to balance their education and maintain a healthy physical and mental well being.
CBSE has scraped off the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation(CCE) that was being followed from the academic year 2017 onwards and hence students have to write their theory exam for 80 marks(3 hours written exam) and internal assessment of 20 marks, totalling 100 marks.
The students also participate in Olympiads and curricular and co-curricular activities being conducted in other schools as well. Students are also taught Information and Communication Technology(ICT) as an add-on subject apart from the main subjects taught.
The students are taught each and every concept not only theoretically but also are explained the importance and use of the concept in everyday life.
